Khulna University of Engineering & Technology or KUET, formerly known as BIT, Khulna, is one of the best Engineering Universities in Bangladesh. About two thousand students are enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate engineering and science in this institution. The total number of teachers is over 130. The University has continued to expand with the construction of new academic buildings, auditorium complex, halls of residence, teachers dormitory, engineering section building etc.


At present there are 132 faculty members, 143 postgraduate students and 1744 under graduate students of which 15 foreign students. There are also students from defense service. KUET offers B. Sc. Engineering degree in undergraduate program as well as M. Sc. Engineering, M.Phil. & Ph.D degree in postgraduate program.
